Great Fermentations Shipping Policies

We offer same day $8.99 flat rate shipping on most orders placed before 1PM EST. That’s right, same day! Some websites out there advertise the same or even better flat rate shipping prices on banner ads around the net. The problem is that when you get done filling your cart and go to check out you see the “fine print”. You are brewing that weekend but their flat rate shipping could take 2-4 days to ship. Well that won’t work, right? So you leave the site to start over somewhere else or agree to pay “actual” shipping charges. Not such a great deal after all.

At Great Fermentations it is simple. Get us your order before 1PM EST and it will ship the same day. No “fine print”, no games. Heck one of the staff may even drop it off at a UPS hub on their way home if need be. The bottom line is that if you need it we will make every effort to get it to you ASAP. If you need it real fast expedited services are available.

• Next Day Air: usually delivered before 10:30
• Two Day Air: usually delivered by the end of the second day

Of course, some exceptions are going to apply just like the big boys.

• Exclusions include: Bags of Grain, Glass Bottles, Carboys, Bulk DME and Wine Ingredient Kits. The complete list is under the map below.
• If your order includes mostly the restricted items you may not be offered flat rate shipping.
• We ship via UPS or USPS Monday through Friday.
• Packages weighing less than 1 pound usually ship via USPS for around $4.80.
• We need an actual physical address-No PO boxes please.
• All weights displayed when ordering are estimates and not the actual weight of your shipment.
• We will contact you concerning any backorders.
• When registering orders please provide an email that you check regularly and a phone number where you can be reached during the day. (Cell/work number)
